Data needs to be secured regularly – ideally daily and at a geographically separated location. This presentation shows how a secure, redundant, disk-based and operating system independent backup infrastructure can be built up solely with the help of Open Source Software (OSS).

About the Author

Michael Eichenberger is an engineer with a degree in electronics and has around 15 years of Unix- and 10 years of Linux-experience. He worked for sunrise in the ISP environment and is now the CEO of stepping stone GmbH, which offers services predominantly based on Open Source Software.
