Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) are abstracted IT infrastructures (like computing capacity, data storage, network capacity or also finished software) which can be dynamically changed online to the requirements.
A typical example of Infrastructure as a Service is our product stoney cloud.
The advantages of Infrastructure as a Service is that the customer or reseller has considerable freedoms over operation system, application until data as it falls under its own responsibility. The basic infrastructure and its operations are in the responsibility of the cloud provider.
Of course managed cloud services like backup, monitoring, maintenance and standby service can be outsourced partly or fully by the cloud service provider.
