Artificial Intelligence meets Reality – Apertus strengthens Switzerland's digital sovereignty

Switzerland is taking a big step forward in artificial intelligence: with Apertus, ETH Zurich, EPFL, and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) have released a language model that is open, transparent, and multilingual.

Switzerland is therefore demonstrating that it is playing an active role in the global race for AI and digital sovereignty.
