Performance Limitations

Our central storage servers (Tier1: SSD based) are synchronising themselves. This is leading to performance limitations.

During the night from Sunday, the 11th of June 2017 to Monday, the 12th of June 2017 our central storage servers (Tier1: SSD based) failed at 02:40. The reason for this outage was a software bug in the storage software (GlusterFS).

Our employees reacted promptly and since 03:25 our central storage servers (Tier1: SSD based) are up and running again. The outage led to a synchronisation of all the data. This synchronisation leads to very high reads and writes, which affects the performance of the virtual machines.

The data consistency was preserved at all times and therefore no data was lost!

We apologise for the inconvenience and we will inform you, as soon as the synchronisation has finished.
