The monitoring concept is developed in collaboration with you: you decide what is monitored and who is notified. For specific requirements, stepping stone develops bespoke monitoring scripts — for databases, web servers, directory services or other components. The monitoring is cross-platform and supports Windows, macOS and Linux. Four priority levels govern the alerting system: from round-the-clock email notifications (P4) to 24/7 SMS alerts (P1). On request, monitoring can be integrated into existing service level agreements (SLAs). stepping stone operates the entire monitoring system on Swiss infrastructure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Some modern browsers do not allow connection to our monitoring system. We use Firefox for access and make the following modifications there to allow access:
1. Enter "about:config" in the URL line
2. Search for tls on the about:config page
3. Activate the "security.tls.version.enable-deprecated" option with a double-click (the option is then set to "true" and marked in black and bold).
4. Set the option security.tls.version.min to "1" (this option is also black and bold afterwards.)
