Monthly security updates are installed based on the latest security advisories; they are first tested in a test environment and then rolled out to the production environment.

Fully automated maintenance tasks run at any time of day — usually at night or during off-peak hours, when as few users as possible are affected. There is no service interruption. For legacy systems that do not support automated maintenance, stepping stone intervenes manually: during the agreed maintenance window, with a brief interruption of usually five to ten minutes. Once completed, you will receive a status report.

You choose the maintenance window yourself: Silver (Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00), Gold (Mon–Fri, 07:00–19:00) or Platinum (24/7). In the event of critical vulnerabilities, stepping stone responds immediately and informs you proactively.

For businesses that want to ensure their systems remain up to date and stable at all times, without having to track patch cycles or coordinate maintenance windows themselves.
