What are the mail settings for my client?

The settings for our Mail Server are:

Secure IMAP (SSL) Server	Port	User name	Password
imap.stepping-stone.ch	993	Your E-Mail Address	Your E-Mail Password

Secure POP (SSL) Server	Port	User name	Password
pop.stepping-stone.ch	995	Your E-Mail Address	Your E-Mail Password

SMTP (Auth via TLS) Server	Port	User name	Password
smtp.stepping-stone.ch	587	Your E-Mail Address	Your E-Mail Password

Please take into account that you must also enter your user name (your e-mail address) and your password into the mail programme.

To send e-mails, you must activate TLS encryption for the SMTP server; moreover an authentication (SMTP Auth) is required.

Naturally you can also use your WebTop to easily and independently send/receive E-Mails.

Can I send mails out if Norton Antivirus is installed?

Yes, but please note the following: Norton-Antivirus, using the standard settings, prevents TLS connections on port 587. Therefore, in the Norton Antivirus configuration, under Options/Internet/E-Mail, deactivate the option "Scan outgoing Email".

Which Service Pack for Microsoft Outlook 2002 do I need?

Outlook 2002 and Windows XP require that Service Pack 1 is installed. The Office XP update, Service Pack 1 (SP-1), you can download from Microsoft.

Why can I not send any e-mails with Microsoft Outlook 2002?

How do I get more storage for my mailbox?

You can purchase additional storage.

What size e-mail attachments can I receive/send?

Our mail server is restricted to 20 MB. However, when an email is send or received, mostly, other mail servers, with different restrictions, are involved, over which we do not have any influence.

I receive no more Spam E-Mails, what is the matter?

In that case you must be satisfied with our Spam Filter, thank you ;-)
