Have you high demands, but your own (dedicated) Server is too expensive? The cost-efficient alternative is called Linux vServer and offers almost the same performance as a physical Server.
Scope of service
You get root access to you Firewall protected system. Each Linux vServer has it's own fixed IP-Address and has the Gentoo or Debian Linux distribution installed. Apart from a couple of exceptions (i.e network configuration, hard disk partitioning or formatting) you can configure your Linux vServer without restriction. Included are 5 Gigabytes of diskspace, 256 Megabyte of main memory (RAM) as well as 256 Kilobit/s bandwidth (equivalent to ca. 80 Gigabyte volume per month). Decide for yourself the desired diskspace, main memory and required bandwidth.
