Today FOSS-Cloud 0.6.4 was published and is available for downloading.

In comparison with the FOSS-Cloud 0.6.3, the following improvements were made:

• Backend
• libvirt an all dependencies have been updated .
• QEMU/KVM (including Spice) have been updated.
• VM-Manager
• Virtual Machines can now be deleted.
• Quite a few bugs were corrected.

The FOSS-Cloud offers a redundant infrastructure for the operation of virtual servers and desktops (Linux and Windows).

Today we released the Online Backup Software 2.0 for Linux/Unix based Server, including NAS devices (Network Attached Storage) like for instance Synology or QNAP. It is available from here.

Apart from numerous bug fixes, the Online Backup Software 2.0 was expanded, so that you can be warned by our Online Backup server via E-Mail in the case, that a backup was not executed as scheduled.

The stepping stone GmbH participated with their project Rent-a-Desktop at the CH Open Source Awards 2011.

With Rent-a-Desktop the complete IT infrastructure of a small to medium enterprise (SME) is deployed in the cloud. This covers servers, desktops and storage. The customer premises just hold energy saving thin-clients, the corresponding displays and multi functional printers (MFPs).
